Christian Church service notes from visit to the Beech Grove Baptist Church south of town to listen, participate, give thanks to God by fellowshipping with friends,
and make a campaign visit.
I was blessed to participate in this 3-hour Sunday communion service and happily surprised that no one seemed to
mind me wearing a Yarmulke during Christian Church services.

Rev. Buck, Mr. Reynolds (a deacon who invited me), a six lady church choir, the gospel keyboarders and drummer who played were very welcoming.  I mentioned as I was introduced that it was the first time I had experienced the Word being preached in a Baptist Church both in front of me and behind me in Church. For, the deacons who read the opening scripture verses (parable of the widow's mite) was situated below the pulpit to the right of the first row of pews. The minister emphasized the importance of understanding that we cannot, ourselves, accomplish our salvation and also that this Church believed in the direct experience of Christ amongst its members during the service.  What an important message to meditate on.
